Power Type : Diesel-Electric Builder : English Electric Build date : 1960's Configuration : Bo-Bo They are known by railway enthusiasts as "Choppers", a name derived from the distinctive beat that the engine produced when under load which resembles the sound of a helicopter. Moira junction as mentioned in this video clip is just a smidge under a mile ( 1.6 km) from my home. Alas Rawdon Colliery no longer exists and neither does Drakelow Power Station, so merry-go-round coal trains like these no longer operate around Moira. Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway (GWR, GWSR) is a volunteer-run heritage railway which runs along the Gloucestershire/Worcestershire border in the West Midlands, England. The GWSR has restored and reopened 12 miles (19 km) of line, operating between Cheltenham Racecourse and the site of Laverton Halt.
